Lovetone effects: information
Contents
Introduction
The effects
Top circuitry for the musician who never has enough knobs to turn and sounds to explore.
- Big Cheese (fuzz)
- Brown Source (overdrive)
- Doppelganger (phaser/vibrato)
- Meatball (envelope filter)
- RingStinger (ring mod /octave fuzz)
- Wobulator (stereo trem/panner)
- ? / no name flanger (stereo flanger)
Ready to build effects
Those are the effects that have been reverse engineered, built and verified. With this info, you should be able to make a working replica of your pedal of choice. Of course, you can still submit info about them (for example, an improved layout, or revised project file).
- Big Cheese files - Last updated:XX/XXX/XX
- Brown Source files - This one is also waiting for you to clone it!
Partially done effects
Something lacks in those projects to say they're ready to be built. Still, with lots of patience and experince, a brave soul can build a pedal out of the info available.
Effects under development
There's not even a schematic of those effects. Some can be reverse engineered, others still hide in the darkest and deepest crack of the abyss.

Something lacks in those TEXT TO BE ADDED Hi all,
Full of knobs, full of charachter, full of possibilities. :D A vast array of sounds available from each, from the most classical sounds to the weirdest noises. It's a shame that they're not made anymore. :(

The project and layout is now available, and according to the guy who posted it, the effect has been reverse engineered and verified. At first sight, it seems very close in the design to the Big Cheese. Perhaps you can even build both with the same board - please don't throw to many stones at me for saying this, I just have taken a quick look at the schems!
PARTIALLY DONE PROJECTS: All those effects lack something to be "complete projects", and it's written in red. But for the brave diy-guy, they can be built anyway, as they all have, at least, an unverified schematic. :D
- Wobulator (stereo trem/panner): schematic here. Theorically, an official "project, schematic and layout pdf" should be released in a not-so-far future by the guy who's now building and debugging the proto effect.
MISSING EFFECTS:
I have no info at all about the following effect (apart from some threads which led to, err, nothing). Apparently, there's a source for pics/info to "reverse enigneer" the effect and someone willing to take the challenge of making a schem. Don't expect any of this, obviously, to be available (if ever) anywhere soon. The no name flanger project, according to the links posted by Kahel, is currently in process. :D
- Doppelganger (phaser/vibrato): - - ?/no name flanger (stereo flanger): -
So, if any of you guys has any info regarding those pedals, please let me know! I've searched the web for hours without success (ie= any schematic or useful building info). It's a shame such great designs get lost!
See you! PS. A thousand thanks to all those who, directly or not, are contributing to the cause! ;)
